About Me

I am a mortgage broker with more than 30 years in the financial services industry.

I began my career in 1983 working for Prudential Insurance Company, going door-to-door to collect payments and sell insurance. This was an incredibly rewarding experience because I really enjoyed talking to customers and making sure they were happy with the products and our service.

In 1994 I was head hunted by Sun Life Of Canada, whilst working for them I completed my Financial Planning certificate. When the company scaled down its UK arm in 2002, I began working as an IFA in a small local company. Then in May 2005 that is when I set up UKFCS Mortgage Specialists. One of the best things about being a mortgage broker is the sense of reward I get from my work. I have a passion for helping people and get a great deal of pleasure from finding the right mortgage product for a client. This is especially true when the application has been difficult or faced challenges.

At UKFCS Mortgage Specialists, my area of focus is on getting things right. This means it’s my job to make sure our firm follows all the rules and regulations governing mortgages and ensuring you meet all the required criteria before applying. It also requires me to ensure that every single mortgage application processed by our firm is completed accurately and on schedule.

I bring two key strengths to my role as a mortgage broker. First, my years in the mortgage business mean that I have a vast amount of knowledge and experience. This is invaluable when it comes helping applicants or dealing with complicated issues.

Secondly, I understand the importance of excellent client service. Without this, we’d be just another mortgage broker. With it, we always take that extra step to make sure we give you the best possible service.

One of the most important aspects of customer service is making sure that you are comfortable working with us. My team and I aim to build trusting and open relationships. We do our best to make sure complex issues are explained clearly, and we welcome questions at any time during the application process.

A key part of our client service is that you come first. What we mean by this is that our primary goal is to find the right mortgage product for you. We are not affiliated with any financial institutions, so we are not commission-driven. And we are not under pressure to sell a certain number of mortgages each month. Finding you the best mortgage is our number one objective.

I was born in Surrey and now live in Hampshire, and am married with three adult children. When I’m not focused on mortgages and client service, I love traveling the world. I’ve been to around 20 countries around the globe and enjoy experiencing new cultures. When I am at home I like reading, TV, walking my dog and nice restaurants.
